DubaiHiking.org is a community blog that was originally started by Christine to showcase and share her hiking adventures during her time in the UAE.
The website was later handed over to me with one important promise: that it would be preserved, maintained and continually improved. That promise remains at the heart of the website today.

DubaiHiking.org exists to share useful outdoor information, hiking stories, safety knowledge and community experiences from across the UAE.
About me
My name is Mohamed Shafi, and I am the present webmaster of DubaiHiking.org. I continue to maintain and improve the website while learning and growing through my own outdoor adventures.
I am an engineer who has been working full-time in Dubai for the past eight years. Outside work, I am an outdoor enthusiast with a strong interest in hiking, mountain exploration and community activities.
I regularly join hikes organised by different public groups, collaborate with hiking teams and support selected outdoor events whenever possible. These experiences help me stay connected to the wider hiking community and understand the kind of information hikers are looking for.
This website is not only about trails. It is about the people, stories and shared experiences that make hiking in the UAE meaningful.
Community involvement
DubaiHiking.org aims to remain open, useful and community-driven. The website welcomes practical ideas, route experiences, safety observations and suggestions that can help improve the quality of information available to hikers.
