Wadi Abadilah trail is a hike through a spring valley in the side of beautiful Masafi mountains in Fujaira. This is a beautiful spring valley hike at Fujairah, one of the most discussed trails in the Fujairah region. About the trail

The entrance of this wadi is clearly marked and the far side of the wadi is really confusing with different valleys. It is always possible to get lost between the wadi at the far side if you dont keep a track of the way you travelled.

The trail is located in Abadilah, Fujairah emirate nearby Masafi. On the way to Dibba from Masafi you have to take the exit to a muddy road (25.43829074015991, 56.19656353977591). You can also search in maps “Wadi abadilah entry point”. Once you took the exit, take left again as the road is divided into to two. After driving about 250 meters you will reach the starting point where you can also park your cars (25.440730169054376, 56.19691414399228). Sedan cars are enough to reach the starting point.

Absolutely no cell phone coverage in these areas. Green and you can find fresh water springs thats passing between the ridges. Till early summer you can find water in these spring. Best time to travel is definitely in winter.

First 1 km is a pleasant, cool smooth walk through shades of big palm trees and through the sides agriculture farm & water pools, real natural pools. You can say these areas are good picnic spots for families and kids. Beware of snakes and other creatures. This is a home for those wild beings. But after 1 km is for hikers and trail runners. Entire walk is through the dry river bed Getting into second part after farm is a bit tricky. After climbing stair though gate and don’t take left, just take careful straight trail through edge and get back into river bed. Couple of giant boulders the size of 2 to 3 people, needs to tackle carefully.

There are steps at the starting point which will take you down to the wadi. Once you are down, take right and walk next to the fencing. It’s an agricultural farm which plants orange, banana etc. And then you will slowly get down in to the wadi. The first 1 km is very greenish eye soothing walk where you can see all these trees, small rock pools, water flows, some natural springs etc. After about 1 km, the terrain is different and become dry area. Don’t get confused (like me ) when you see a stair on your left, narrow way between rocks in your middle and another way on your right. Just take the stairs on your left which is actually made to pass the rocks. One you are on top of the mountain (stairs are finished) don’t take left, just continue walking straight which will take you down to the dry river bed.
