Background
This hike is an easy walk at the base of the Hajar Mountains.
You will walk along the winding wadi and will see a vast (abandoned) village before making your way down to the dam.
Lovely stone houses and dry walls.

Basic requirement for this is hike is given below:
- Hiking shoe / runners with good grip,
- Water min 2 liters (Very important)
- food, snacks, chocolates
- Soft drinks (Just in case of extreme low energy conditions)
- GPS / Maps / Smart phone with offline maps.
- Battery pack for Electronic devices like GPS and smart phones
- backpack
- pen torch
- Knife
- Medication like panadol / anything you may feel you might need.

Direction and Coordinates

1. RAK Airport roundabaout: N25° 37′ 18.93″ – E55° 56′ 38.66″
This is the nearest largest only famous landmark which we can give at the moment.
2. Khatt Springs Resort and Spa roundabout N25° 36′ 50.48″ E56° 00′ 24.43″
3. Car Park and Start walk: N 25° 40′ 12.95″ E56° 02′ 50.78″
This is the place where you can park your car. Then get ready for the walk.
4. Village (abandoned): N 25° 40′ 02.63″ E56 03′ 03.95″
This is the fine stop for some exploration. Looks like an abandoned village. But it may be used recently by shepherds in the region.
5. End of hike (return point): N25° 39′ 29.14″ E56° 03′ 44.53″
For the beginners hikes, this will be end point and time to return.
Just follow the route back and skip the village to reach the parking area.
